M.2 SATA SSDs give you the M.2 footprint on the SATA bus — cooler, lower peak power and easier to qualify than NVMe in a sealed box. Qootec builds the commercial line in MLC NAND on SATA 3.0 in both lengths: the M.2 2280 at 22 × 80 mm and the short M.2 2242 SSD at 22 × 42 mm, with a three-year warranty and CE, FCC, RoHS, REACH and KC certification.

2280 or 2242? Measure the host standoff before anything else. The 2280 board carries more NAND packages and spreads heat over a larger area, so specify 2242 only when 80 mm genuinely will not fit. Modules are built and tested in the Shenzhen factory we’ve owned since 2014, and OS cloning is part of the standard flow. For unheated cabinets and vehicles use the industrial M.2 SATA range; for real PCIe bandwidth see M.2 PCIe NVMe.
