Sodimm
DDR4 SODIMM and DDR5 SODIMM modules are the small-outline memory used by laptops, mini PCs, thin clients, NUC-class boxes and 1U appliances that can’t take a full-height DIMM. Qootec has manufactured DDR3, DDR4 and DDR5 SODIMM in its own factory since 2014 — 204-pin, 260-pin and 262-pin respectively — for system builders, digital signage players, kiosk controllers and refurbishment programmes.
Are DDR4 SODIMM and DDR5 SODIMM interchangeable? No. The pin count and notch position differ, and the memory controller in the CPU decides which generation a board accepts. There is no adapter. Modules are tested per build and carry a three-year warranty, and samples or small orders ship in three days. Desktop and workstation boards take the full-height DIMM range instead, and most customers put memory alongside drives from the industrial or commercial SSD lines on one order.
